Mod plate codes that we can currently offer include:
LK1 seat and seatbelt installation / removal.
LM1 installation of alternative fuel tanks and the installation of surge tanks in light motor vehicles other than ADR category L-group vehicles and pre-ADR motor cycles and motor tricycles.
LS15 certify physical modifications leading to the re-rating of Gross Vehicle Mass (GVM) of a light vehicle (GVM 4500 kg or less) when those modifications are carried out in accordance with instructions in the relevant LS11 design package
Examples where a LM1 Mod plate is needed
- Long range fuel tank has been installed to the vehicle
Examples where LK1 Mod plate would be required:
- A 7 seat 4WD has the back row seats removed to fit permanent drawers. The car is essentially now a 5 seater
- A vehicle such as Toyota estima has been imported as a camper and is only showing as a 5 seater on the compliance plate. Additional factory style seats have been located and now needs to be mod plated at a 7 seater
