Car Repairs on the Gold Coast
If your car is making a new noise, leaking, or a warning light has come on, book at our Ashmore workshop. We find the cause first, then text you a quote. Nothing gets fixed until you say yes.
Car servicing and logbook servicing
Regular servicing is the cheapest way to avoid big repair bills. We service cars, 4WDs and utes to the manufacturer’s logbook schedule and stamp your logbook when we’re done
If your car is still under new car warranty, you don’t have to go back to the dealer. Australian Consumer Law lets any qualified mechanic do the service, as long as it follows the logbook and uses parts that meet the manufacturer’s specs. We do both.
Every service uses Penrite or Fuchs oil and quality filters. We check brakes, tyres, fluids, belts, lights and suspension, and tell you about anything that needs attention before it gets worse. The price we quote is the price you pay. If we find extra work, we call or text you first.

Roadworthy certificates and Certificates of Inspection
We’re an approved inspection station with Queensland Transport. That means we can issue roadworthy (safety) certificates and Certificates of Inspection from the same workshop. Not every Gold Coast mechanic holds both.
Roadworthy (safety) certificates
You need one to sell a registered car in Queensland, re-register an unregistered vehicle, or transfer rego from interstate. We inspect cars, light vehicles and trailers.
- The inspection takes about 45 to 60 minutes
- If it passes, the certificate is issued the same day
- If it fails, you have 14 days to fix it, and the re-inspection here is free
- A certificate lasts 2 months or 2,000 km for private sellers, and 3 months or 1,000 km for dealers
- Unregistered vehicles can be inspected if the CTP has been paid, and we can collect them for an extra fee
We don’t do mobile roadworthys. Every inspection happens at our Ashmore workshop.
Certificates of Inspection (COI)
Uber, DiDi, Ola and taxi drivers need a COI to keep driving. We do the inspection and can service your car at the same visit, which saves you a second trip.
Mod plates and pre-purchase inspections
We also approve LK1 and LM1 modification plates and inspect used cars before you buy them.
Quality Oils
Our workshop only uses top quality oils such as Penrite and Fuchs both having an excellent reputation in providing the excellent quality oil at a reasonable price.
You can rest assured the correct oil is being put into your car, something that is of great importance if your car is still under manufacturers warranty.
Quality Filters
We use filter brands such as Ryco and Purflux as they are the trusted filter brands in the automotive sector.
Quality Brakes
We use brands such as Bendix and Meyle for their superior quality to other brands of brakes on the market.

We service and repair most makes and models, from everyday hatchbacks to 4WDs, utes and sedans. Subaru, Toyota, Ford, Hyundai, Kia, Mazda, Mitsubishi, Holden, Jeep, BMW, Mercedes-Benz and other European cars.

Our workshop is at Unit 2, 8 Green Glen Road in Ashmore, just off Currumburra Road. Ashmore City Shopping Centre is across the road, so you can grab a coffee or do the shopping while you wait.

We are in a small industrial area behind the car dealership “Gold Coast Car Warehouse”, just off Currumburra Road. Look for the driveway up the hill and our workshop is on the right hand side.
Workmanship Warranty:
We offer a 6-month / 10,000km warranty on our workmanship.
New Parts Warranty:
We offer a 6-month / 10,000km warranty on new parts. If you can bring your vehicle back to our workshop, we will cover the labour costs to replace the faulty part within the warranty period. (Many workshops will only provide a new part and charge you additional for the labour to replace the faulty part).
Second-Hand Parts Warranty:
If second-hand parts are fitted, the warranty on parts depends on the supplier and is usually limited to 45 days. We do not cover the labour costs to replace faulty second-hand parts.
Yes. Rest assured all of our mechanics have years of training and experience and are fully qualified to work on your vehicle.
Finding a good mechanic on the Gold Coast can be hard work. Unless you’re quite savvy about cars, a mechanic could tell you that something on your car needs to be replaced or repaired and you probably wouldn’t know if it’s true or not.
Thankfully there are some excellent car mechanics around the Gold Coast and you can usually take a look at a mechanic’s Google reviews to get a sense of whether they are a decent mechanic or not. Here’s a few tips that should help you work out the good from the bad:
Good mechanics
- Inform you about the work they’re doing on your car
- Offer a clear explanation of any repairs that are needed, and how much of a priority it is, BEFORE undertaking the repair and charging you
- If something goes wrong, they are quick to acknowledge if they’ve made a mistake
- Use specified / approved parts
- Have the car ready when they say they will
Sometimes unavoidable things happen, but overall a good mechanic wants to do the best by you and your vehicle and ensure you are safe on the road without paying for unnecessary repairs.
